These terms explain how a nonprofit-pricing.com membership works. We have kept them short and in plain English. nonprofit-pricing.com is powered by NP Cloud. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean NP Cloud, and “you” means the organization that signs up and the person signing up for it.
1. What your membership includes
- Guidance. Practical advice on Microsoft 365, security, policies and the everyday technology questions that come up in running your organization.
- Microsoft 365 management for up to 10 mailboxes. We look after day-to-day Microsoft 365 administration for up to 10 mailboxes. Each extra mailbox is billed at the rate on our pricing page.
- Members-only tools, including the policy generator. These are explained below.
Anything else is quoted up front. Membership does not include unlimited free work. Projects, migrations, on-site visits, remote support beyond guidance, and anything else outside the list above are separate. We will always tell you the price, or our hourly rate and an estimate, and get your OK before we start. You will never get a surprise bill.
2. Plans, the 12-month commitment and automatic renewal
- Every plan has a 12-month commitment. Monthly plans are billed every month for 12 months. Annual plans are billed once for the year.
- Plans renew automatically. When a 12-month term ends, your membership renews for another 12 months on the same plan and billing schedule, until you cancel. Payments are taken automatically by our payment providers (Stripe or PayPal).
- Cancelling. You can turn off renewal at any time from your account page or by emailing us. Your membership then stays active until the end of the current 12-month term, and you will not be charged again after that. If you leave a monthly plan before the end of a 12-month term, the remaining monthly payments for that term are still due.
- Price changes. If our prices change, we will tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal. New prices apply from your next term.
3. Nonprofit rates and proof of eligibility
Nonprofit rates are for nonprofit organizations, such as 501(c)(3) charities, churches and faith-based groups, and schools. When you choose a nonprofit plan, you upload proof of your status at sign-up. Examples are an IRS determination letter, a state charity registration, or a letter from your denomination or school district. We keep this document private and use it only to check your eligibility.
Moving to the business rate. If we cannot verify your nonprofit status, or your organization is not eligible, NP Cloud (Brian McCoy) may move your membership to the matching business-rate plan. We will tell you before this happens and explain why. The business rate applies from your next payment. If you disagree, reply to our email with more information and we will take another look.
4. Not legal advice
Our guidance, templates and policy drafts are general information to help you get organized. They are not legal advice, and using them does not create an attorney-client relationship. Drafts from the policy generator are always marked DRAFT. Before you adopt them, have your leadership and, where it matters, your own legal counsel review them. You decide what your organization adopts and you are responsible for how you use it.
5. The policy generator
Members can answer an intake questionnaire and download draft IT and security policies written for their organization. Before downloading, you confirm that you understand the drafts are templates, not legal advice, and that NP Cloud and nonprofit-pricing.com are not responsible for their content or use. We record that confirmation with the date and time. We may email you before your policies’ yearly review date.
6. We may contact you
As a member, NP Cloud may contact you by email or phone about your membership and about related services that might help your organization, such as Microsoft 365, cloud services or IT support. You can ask us to stop the service-related messages at any time. We will still send messages you need about your account and billing.
7. Your account
- Keep your login details safe and tell us if you think someone else has used them.
- One membership covers one organization.
- We may suspend or end a membership that is used unlawfully or abusively, or that is not paid. If we end your membership for any other reason, we will refund the unused part of what you have paid.
8. Limits
We work carefully and in good faith, but we cannot promise that any advice, template or service will prevent every problem. As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the membership fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will post the new version here and email members about important changes at least 30 days before they apply.
